Thriving, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (TIDE) Fund
The UR TIDE Fund awards grants in support of projects advancing culture change toward greater thriving, inclusion, diversity, and equity (TIDE) at the University of Richmond. Students, faculty, or staff are welcome to apply as are organizations, offices, or departments.
Criteria & Guidelines for Applicants
The UR TIDE Fund seeks applications related to the major themes of representation, belonging, and capability. Student-led projects focused on advancing anti-racism are especially welcome. Additional preference will be given to projects that are collaborative across organizations or constituencies and that are tied to ongoing work rather than a one-time event. The UR TIDE Fund does not support individual education or professional development requests. Before project plans are fully set, potential applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their project with one of the grant administrators.
Review of Applications
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please keep in mind that it may take up to two weeks to review applications. In addition, applicants should expect that, upon review, they may be asked to revise and resubmit their applications.
Upon Completion
Those receiving TIDE funds are required to complete a brief report upon completion of the funded project. The report should include a brief narrative of the project's implementation, how the dispersed funds were spent, and an evaluation of the planned outcomes.
